Why do I need to upload a parent picture of the pet I am advertising?

Uploading a picture of the mum pet is a requirement for all our advertisers under Lucy’s Law.

This legislation was introduced and became law in April 2020.

It helps potential rehomers to see that you are the original breeder of the pet or pets that you are advertising. You should only upload a photo of the mum pet if you are the owner and not if you have purchased your forever pet from another breeder.

Adding a photo of the mum pet will also help people to see what their new pet may grow to be like, in terms of their size and their looks. Not only will this give a potential owner the peace of mind of rehoming your pet, it will also enable them to see better the pet they are taking on and whether it will be suitable for their lifestyle and environment at home.
