About our Petsafe deposit scheme

STEP 1

Place a deposit

Find your forever pet and send a deposit request to the advertiser or breeder. Once they have ID verified their account, they can set the deposit amount and you can pay via Freeads and PetSafe. Your deposit is held securely until you have visited the pet and are happy to release the deposit, giving you peace of mind.

STEP 2

Visit the pet

Visit the pet in its home and agree terms on the remaining balance (if the breeder did not require full payment).

Release the deposit to the breeder when you are both happy to proceed.

Please remember:

**You must not release a PetSafe payment without visiting the pet in person**

**Unclaimed/non released deposits held for 75 days will be returned to the buyer**

STEP 3

Collect your new pet

Once the balance has been paid, home visits completed and your pet is over 8 weeks old, all that remains is to welcome your new pet into your home.

Make sure that you:

Arrange insurance for your pet

Schedule a visit with your own vet for a check up
