Make sure you are comfortable with any prospective new owners, ask them plenty of questions about their lifestyle, home, exercise levels and knowledge on the breed. Ensure the new owners are not likely to leave the dog alone for long periods of time and that they know the costs involved in looking after one.Try to match the dog to the owners by their description of their lifestyle.

Dog lives matter:

Whatever you decide, your dog's health and wellbeing are of paramount importance, make sure the prospective owners know everything they need to about your dogs behaviour, health and history.

Pay attention to how the person interacts with the dog and how interested they seem, do they ask the right questions? If not then perhaps consider a different person to adopt your animal.

No obligation viewings:

Just because a person views your dog, does not mean you have to give it to them, if you are not happy with the person in question, just say no.  It shows that your dogs wellbeing is the most important concern you have.
